What is contract tracking?

Contract tracking is the practice of monitoring every contract after it leaves your inbox — whether the counterparty has opened it, signed it, which clauses they spent time on, and when it's up for renewal. How is Contrack different from DocuSign?

E-signature tools tell you when a document was signed. Contrack tells you everything that happens before and after: when a contract was opened, which sections were read, whether someone forwarded it, when it's about to renew, and which stalled contracts need a nudge. Signature is one event in a longer lifecycle.

Do recipients need an account to view a contract I send?

No. Contrack generates a hosted share link that anyone can open — no signup, no login. View events are tracked automatically and streamed back to your workspace.

Does Contrack include contract templates?

Yes. Contrack ships with a free library of curated legal templates — NDAs, MSAs and SOWs, freelance and services agreements, sales agreements, employment and IP assignment contracts, partnership agreements, and commercial leases. You can also generate a custom template from a plain-English description.

Can Contrack track contracts I already have in email?

Yes. You can forward existing email threads or upload signed PDFs, and Contrack will classify the document type, extract the key dates (start, renewal, expiration), and add it to your tracked workspace alongside newly-sent contracts.

Is Contrack suitable for freelancers and small teams?

Yes. The Standard plan is priced per seat and the template library covers the common freelance and services contracts, so solo operators and small teams can get to first-signature the same day.
